Building More Than Homes: Supporting Trails for Generations

At Hueber Homes, we understand great communities are shaped by more than the homes within them. They are defined by the places where people gather, explore, and spend time outdoors. For the team at Hueber Homes, supporting these spaces is a natural extension of their commitment to building environments where families can truly live well, bonding with nature.

One organization helping create those opportunities in the greater Cincinnati area is Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance (CORA). Dedicated to developing and maintaining sustainable mountain biking and hiking trails, CORA works throughout the region to create outdoor experiences that connect people with nature while preserving the landscapes that make those experiences possible. For the Hueber brothers, Andy and Marc, supporting CORA is not simply a partnership—it’s personal.

A Mission Rooted in Community

Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance focuses on designing and maintaining multi-use trail systems that can be enjoyed by both mountain bikers and hikers. Their work emphasizes sustainability, thoughtful use of land, and trails that blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment.

We share this same sense with our builds, a commitment to integrating nature into the overall development.

Volunteers and partners help plan, build, and maintain trails that are both enjoyable and environmentally responsible, ensuring that they remain accessible and resilient for years to come. Through these efforts, CORA has become a key contributor to the growing network of outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the Cincinnati region.

Among the trails CORA manages are those at East Fork State Park, one of the area’s most popular destinations for mountain biking and hiking. Riders and outdoor enthusiasts from across the region come to experience its winding paths, wooded terrain, and scenic views.

Expanding Outdoor Opportunities

The work continues to grow. In partnership with local communities, CORA is also helping bring new trail improvements to Landen-Deerfield Park, with development planned for Summer through Fall 2026. These improvements will expand opportunities for riders, hikers, and families to explore the outdoors close to home. Projects like this help strengthen the connection between neighborhoods and natural spaces, giving residents places to exercise, gather, and spend meaningful time outside.

A Personal Connection for the Hueber Family

For the Hueber brothers, supporting these efforts brings back memories of their own childhood. Long before building homes professionally, they spent their free time riding bikes with friends and family, exploring wooded areas and carving out their own makeshift trails. Those experiences shaped their appreciation for the outdoors and the sense of freedom that comes with it.

Supporting the work of CORA is personal to Marc and I. It’s an opportunity for us to give back to something that has given us, our families, so much. Riding is a core part of who we are personally and impacts decisions we make professionally.

Investing in the Places That Matter

Just as thoughtful architecture shapes the experience of a home, well-designed trails shape how people interact with the outdoors. They invite exploration, encourage activity, and foster a sense of connection to the surrounding landscape. For Hueber Homes, investing in these spaces reflects the same philosophy that guides their work in homebuilding: creating environments that support the way people live. Because the best communities are not only defined by the homes within them, but by the experiences they make possible. And by supporting organizations like Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance, the Hueber family is helping ensure that the trails, adventures, and memories they once enjoyed will remain available for generations of riders to come.

Hueber family enjoying the trails!
